This community radio station has allowed the people of the area to have
their own voice and has provided an outlet for not just the talents
across age and cultural concerns but has facilitated a platform for
communication and dialogue across the 100,000 plus population.

So why a Friends of Newport City Radio? Well its simple really. Not everyone is radio material, not everyone wants to be a radio presenter, but they want to help in some shape or form. This is where the Friends of Newport City Radio comes in.
Aims and Objectives
- To raise the profile of
the radio station within the broadcasting district
- To help raise funds
through events, grants, donations, advertising, sponsorship and other
activities
- Arrange social events for
volunteers / Listeners as requested
- Help to shape the future
of the station
- Feeding back to station
staff on content and quality
